St Jude Builders Summit was held this month and we are very excited about the new St Jude info. Here are a few links that were discussed at this years’ Builder Summit.
Bryan & Sylvia McLain, Kaylin Verett/McLain Homes, Blaine Cotham Williams/Acadiana Dream Home Marketing were all in attendance.
It was a fast two days with our focus on sharing ideas with 40+ other builders who build Dream Homes across America. As a Veteran Builder for St Jude we had the privilege of visiting the new ALSAC (fund raising arm of St. Jude) building. Bryan and I were very honored to be included in a permanent wall signing at the entry of this building.
McLain Homes was awarded with the following:
- Third Year - Zero Hero Award for building our home with no cost to St Jude
- 10 year Dream Home Builder Award
- Trane Dream Home Builder Partner of the year
- Best outdoor living area - voted on by peers
- McLain Homes was nominated in all 4 categories of this competition
Most important was the announcement of St. Jude Global! Dream Home project is going worldwide! There was actually a Dream Home in Lebanon last year and they attended this years Builder Summit.
The hospital has launched an ambitious initiative to improve access to care to children with cancer and life-threatening blood diseases in every corner of the world, and to develop plans to enhance its quality and provide better options for cure. Led by the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine, St. Jude Global will create a network of interactive institutions that will form a global alliance focused on reducing this gap worldwide.
The mission of St. Jude Global is to improve the survival rates of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases worldwide through the sharing of knowledge, technology and organizational skills.
